Ogun Gay Practices On The Rise As Son Of Tycoon Is Still Wanted By Ogun Police

 Bassey and Adekunle

The police in Ogun State recently arrested two men, Ademola Adekunle and Okon Bassey for homosexual, an offence contravening the Nigerian law.

They were arrested following complaint by Bassey who reported at Onipanu Divisional Headquarters that Adekunle was threatening his life.

Upon his report, the DPO Onipanu, SP Sangobiyi Johnson detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the said Adekunle.

Meanwhile, the case took another dimension when Adekunle explained how he was introduced to Bassey by his boss, called Mandela and how Bassey had promised him a sum of N20, 000 if he agreed to be his sex partner.

He further stated that Bassey had sex with him three times, resulting to him bleeding through the anus uncontrollably while Bassey refused to pay him the promised amount.

Bassey and Adekunle's case is a reminder that gay practices, if not properly curbed, is gradually gaining ground in Ogun State.

A related development is that of Mubashir Yusuff and his partner identified as Kola.

The partners were caught in the act by Mubashir’s ex- wife, Fausat in Onikoko, Panseke area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital sometimes in 2015.

Fausat was said to have regularly visited her friend in Pansheke and had always noticed her ex-husband's car parked by a guest house in the said neighborhood.

Coupled with the fact that she has also been suspicious of her ex-husband's involvement in gay activities and felt it was also the reason for her bareness when they were a couple, she decided to spy on him.

She claimed to have seen Mubashir kissed and hugged fellow men in the past and was determined to expose him because she was bitter about their divorce.

According to information, on 14th of February, 2015, Mubashir had showed up at the guest house as usual and Fausat, seeing his car parked, went in to spy on him and when she caught him red-handed with his partner, she raised alarm and quickly mobilized a mob action.

The mob dragged the gay partners outside the guest house into the main Pansheke road and were waiting to hand them over to the police when pandemonium started.

Eyewitness reports that suspected cultists from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta were engaged in a rivalry clash and while people scamper for safety, the mob that apprehended the gay partners dispersed to avoid being hit by stray bullets from the sporadic gunshot fired by the cultists.

Hence, Mubashir, son of late popular businessman and his partner got the opportunity and escaped from the scene before the arrival of policemen.

Findings from Ogun State police division is that Mubashir and his partner,Kola are still on their wanted list and investigation about their whereabouts is still ongoing while the family members have denied knowing the whereabouts of their son.

Our reporter also went to Mubashir's family house at no,1 Moore close ,infantile,Abeokuta ogun state, met with a woman who refused to give you her name but only introduced herself as Mubashir's step mother, she said the family is so disappointed that Mubashir is gay and already detached herself from him despite the fact the family does not know anything about his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, both Bassey and Adekunle are now in police custody for gay practices, an act that is criminal under the Nigerian Law.
