Police in Ogun State have arrested a 33 years old teacher, Akinsoku Love Olomi who resides at No.10 Baba Esther area of Iyesi-Ota in Ado-Odo Local Government area, for defiling two under aged girls (Names Withheld).
The suspect was arrested on Friday, January 4, 2019 following a complaint by the mother of one of the victims, one Jenifer Mustapha who reported at Onipanu Division that the suspect who lives in the same house with them and a teacher in nearby private school saw her daughter and her daughter's friend, who are 6 and 7 years old respectively, playing at the premises of the school and called them into one of the school’s classroom.
He subsequently gave one of them money to go and buy biscuit and before her arrival, he has had carnal knowledge of the other girl with him. He then sent the one he already defiled to go and buy another biscuit while he defiled the second one as well.
On getting home, the mother of one the victims noticed the change in her daughter’s countenance which made her question the girl who summoned courage and revealed that it was Uncle Love as he is fondly called that tampered with her private part.
According to Ogun State Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, upon the report, the DPO Onipanu Division, SP Soganbiyi Johnson led his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested. On interrogation, he admitted having carnal knowledge of one of the girls, but claimed that he only fingered the second one. The two victims have been taken to the hospital for medical examination.
Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labor Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper Investigation and prosecution.
